WALK IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
Thou lovest
righteousness hatest wickedness; therefore God, thy God hath anointed thee with
oil of gladness above thy fellows (Psalms 45:7)
If you really want to be on top and above in life, then
walking in righteousness and holiness must be a must in your life. The scripture
above shows how Messiah was anointed with oil gladness above all others .He
loved righteousness and hated wickedness. This is still God’s way of taking far
above in life than others. The way of supernatural promotion is the way of
righteousness.
GOD’S SERVANTS WHO WALKED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
A quick look at the above scripture confirms this to be
truth. If Abraham failed in walking in righteousness before God he would never
have inherited the covenant (Genesis 17:1). If Joseph did not run away from the
adulterous Portiphar’s wife, he would have jeopardized his future greatness
just because of five minutes' enjoyment ( Genesis 39:12-13). If Daniel did not
purpose in his heart , not to defile himself with the idolatry of Babylon he
would not have ended up great.(Daniel 1:8;18-21). If Mary had messed herself up
and not being a Virgin, she would not have been found worthy to be the mother
of the Saviour ( Isaiah 7:14).
RIGHTEOUSNESS: THE KEY TO
GREATNESS
Righteousness exalt a nation; but sin is a reproach
to any people ( Proverb 14:34).
Walking in
righteousness is a decision you have to make if you really want to be great and
progressive in life.It is in your best interest. Some people want to eat their
cake and at the same time have it; something that never exists .They have
forgotten that God is just and righteous in all His ways and He will surely
reward every man according to his or her work
(Galatians 6:7-9).
If indeed
you want to be great, choose righteousness. Not because of anybody but because
of yourself. It is too crowded down below in the valley. There is so much space
on the top, aim for the top.One has been specifically reserved for you.
However, you must qualify by walking in righteousness before the God of the
whole earth.
Any time you
are being tempted, you are under scrutinization and being examined whether you
are fit for top or not. Each time you say no to temptation and do what is
right, you are in an inch closer to the great and glorious destiny that God has
for you.
For thou, LORD will bless the
righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as a shield (Psalms 5:12)
